Dr. Gold is Assistant Professor of Human Development at the State University of New York at Oswego. Before joining SUNY, he was the Horizon Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Education and Psychology at Concordia University, Montreal. Through
PDL, he emphasizes observation as a prime method of understanding children's social-cognitive play processes. Dr. Gold is a leading scholar in childhood engineering and STEM and has developed numerous assessment tools for play-based education. He has a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Purdue University and B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo.
