Welcome to the Play and Development Lab (PDL)... Founded at SUNY Oswego by developmental psychologist, Dr. Zachary Gold, PDL aims to enrich children's development and learning through child-directed play experiences. Our mission is to systematically evaluate children's language and behavior during play with blocks and other loose parts building materials to improve play-based education approaches in the classroom and at home. PDL is always seeking enthusiastic collaborators and research partners.
